Christmas in July

It's July and baby, it's cold out here (in Sydney, of course). I reckon everyone else in the Northern Hemisphere is having a wonderful summer's day and I'm so jelly right now.

Anyways, I am excited to share my favourite makers + shakers from Etsy. If you're running out of ideas of what to shop this month in July, head over to Etsy for more fun and unique gift ideas.

Here's my quick guide to my all time favourite Etsy makers :)

1. Cutest Kablooie cat skirt by the lovely Brissie maker, Kaneena Fanning.

2. The softest and prettiest Merino Wool throw you'll ever own. Snuggle up with Ohhio chunky blanket. It makes me a very happy girl (The large knitted white throw on top right)

3. Gorgeous white and blue porcelain plate by Melbourne based maker, Lucile Sciallano of La Petite Fabrique De Brunswick . (As seen in the image with chocolates and pink meringue)

Have a fab day, all!

Best View of Sydney Harbour, Shangri-La Sydney

Look no further, if you're looking for the best view of Sydney Harbour from The Rocks. I found the best place in town, and it's at Shangri-La Sydney.

I am so in love with the view overlooking The Rocks below. Everything looked quaint from above, and it kind of reminds me of Brooklyn in NYC.

The Sydney Harbour is always busy. One will see big cruise ships and ferries arriving and departing from the terminal. And I must admit that I'll never get bored watching the hundreds of cars driving over Sydney Harbour Bridge (because that was what I did the whole night). Look a little bit to the right, one will have the view of the Opera House sitting pretty on Bennelong Point.

A little bit on behind the scenes. I spent the evening shooting with my girlfriend, Priscilla Barbosa who takes the prettiest photos in town! I adore her, and you guys should check her beautiful wedding photography in Sydney and Disneyland in Orlando.

Sometimes, we never knew what we're going to shoot, but we just went along and try new things out. There will always fairy lights to play with.

Have a fab week everyone! Thanks for popping by to check out this awesome view of Shangri-La Sydney!

By far, my favourite and most memorable moment in this city. This place reminds me that I am part of the city of Sydney and I've never ever felt so connected before. It is definitely something I should never take for granted. I feel so lucky to be living in one of the most beautiful cities in the world!

Easter Weekend

At my favourite, Doughnut Time mint coloured store and having a wonderful Nutella time at Tella Balls Dessert Bar.

At my favourite, Doughnut Time mint coloured store and having a wonderful Nutella time at Tella Balls Dessert Bar.

Hello Easter bunnies and chickas!

Hope you are having a well rested long weekend. I'm already thinking today is Monday but it's actually Sunday :) haha!

So, I have been eating loads of Easter themed sweets. Here sharing my favourites from Sydney.

First stop, my favourite store to get doughnuts... Mmm. You guessed it Doughnut Time! Grab myself two six packs. Loving the flavours of Yolk Addict (Yellow, white & eggshell cream glaze, topped with Cadbury Crème egg) and Chubby Bunny (Pastel pink cream glaze with mini marshmallows and rainbow sprinkles).

Next stop was Tella Balls Dessert Bar in Dulwich Hill. Just twenty minutes drive from CBD. I met up with my girlfriends and we ate the yummiest from the menu. I would recommend the Red Velvet Waffles. And thinking of sweet, sweet pasta? Look no further, Pastatella is made from sliced pancakes (to make it look like Tagliatella

Delicious Easter six packs from Doughnut Time and look at that spread from Max Brenner.

For the last dessert haul, you gotta have a hot cuppa milk chocolate at Max Brenner. The waffles drizzled in generoues melted chocolate taste divine with strawberries and bananas. Having pizza craves? The Max Brenner pizza is topped with marshmallows and bananas.

That's all for my favourite places to eat on Easter weekend. Yummy in my tummy, for sure. Now, I'm looking for something savoury hehe.

Stay fab all! Have a fantastic month of April!

Tapas Time at Glass Brasserie

Glass-Brasserie_Sydney_Hilton-Hotel_CBD_Good-Eats-Food_Restaurant_Luke-Mangan-x-Hello-Miss-May_Tapas-and-Cocktails.jpg

Coming back to Sydney after a 2 weeks vacation was great. We were invited to Glass Brasserie where Leon Korobacz (@hungrysydneysiders) and I had a delicious tapas (and cocktail) time at chef Luke Mangan's restaurant.

We started off with the prettiest cocktails in town. It was everything a girl could dream of when in Sydney CBD, sipping cocktails overlooking the sandstone facade of QVB.

We had a variety of tapas to choose from. We couldn't say no to Crisp Zucchini Flower, Canapé Kingfish Sashimi and Waygu Burger Slider. The juicy mini burger was one of my favourite tapas, it was compact and filled with delicious goodness (of a normal size burger).

Glass Brasserie's signature dish, Kingfish sashimi was served in a traditional Chinese spoon. One mouthful is enough to savour the beautiful flavours of the fish seasoned with ginger, eschallot and Persian feta.

And you can't say no to Peking Duck Pancakes. Served with cucumber, shallot, coriander & hoisin. I had to say it was finger licking good!

Now, we've been saving room for Luke Mangan's out-of-this-world Chocolate Dome dessert. We all love watching the waiter pour the hot cranberry sauce into the dome, to reveal sweet honeycomb and vanilla gelato. Mix the elements all up with a spoon, the taste is simply divine!

Glass Brasserie is located inside Hilton Sydney Hotel. It's hard to miss the modern sandstone and glass building on George Street. I simply love the gorgeous interior space with natural lighting and high ceilings. A great place to bring a date, I reckon, hehe.

Have a fab day, all!

Top 5 Instagrammable Ice Cream in Sydney

Now, everyone may wonder what was in Miss May's mind every other day. Ice-cream, of course!

This is my guide to the TOP 5 yummiest (and mind I add, the prettiest) ice cream in town. You won't regret it. It's impossible to take a 'bad' photo.

If you're a tourist looking in Sydney town, looking for gorgeous ice creams (and not the Darling Harbour and Opera House), then truly, this is your guide to having a successful Insta-trip.

Totes #sweettoothforever!

Hello Miss May's TOP 5

Most Instragrammable Ice Cream

Aqua S Blue Ice Cream_Ice Cream Treats_ Instragrammable_Best Eats Prettiest Instagram Ice Cream Tour in Sydney_Hello Miss May

1. Sea Salt Soft Serve, Aqua S

It was the talk of the town when it first came out. Today, Aqua S has become the soft serve to go-to when in Sydney CBD. Sea Salt flavour is the signature flavour of Aqua S, and there's a fun selection of toppings you can try like popcorns, marshmallow and fairy floss.

New flavours being introduced every two weeks, got us Instagrammers looking forward to #life. My friends think I'm delirious.

2. Nutella Soft Serve in Doughnut Cone, Tella Balls Dessert Bar

This is too good to be true. Imagine Tella Balls doughnut as a cone, dipped in melted chocolate, served in the most delicious, mouth-watering Nutella soft serve. Ginormous portion, you can make a meal out of it.

It is a bit of a trek if you're doing the touristy thing in Sydney. But, Tella Balls is close to the Dulwich Train Station and if you're a fan of Greek food, it's a great reason to travel here (with quite a number of delish Greek restaurants to choose from)

3. Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream, N2 Extreme Gelato

It's always a treat to watch the N2 Extreme Gelato guys in lab coats whip up your gelato, made with Liquid Nitrogen. Not your average gelato, it is know for creative and fun flavours.

N2 is fresh, made to order with a wide range of delicious concoction to choose from.

My favourite was when the limited edition Scream Gelato came out, being inspired by Scream Queens. Cherry gelato filled with cherry chocolate fudge, topped with Persian flavoured fairy floss. What a treat!

$7-9 // Shop 43, 1 Dixon Street, Chinatown, Sydney

I-Creamy_Rose Petal Gelato Ice Cream Treats_ Instragrammable_Best Eats Prettiest Instagram Ice Cream Tour in Sydney_Hello Miss May

4. Rose Petal Ice Cream, I-Creamy Artisan Gelato

I vote I-Creamy, way-too-pretty-to-eat. So pretty, you would want to take at least 100 photos before finally, taking a lick or a bite of the beautiful flower ice-cream.

I'm loving the variety of flavours, from Bubblegum to Mango to Pandan, you can pick up up to 3 flavours to make your rose petal dream come true.

from $6.9 a cone // Shop 13, Skyview Plaza, 537-551 George Street, Sydney, CBD, Sydney

My head says go to the gym. My heart says, eat more ice-cream.

5. Endless Summer Gelato + Brookie, Gelatissimo

I remembered having my first Gelatissimo a good decade ago. And the sweet memories of apple and strawberry flavour gelato stuck with me for a very long time. They'll always be my first love!

Loving the Endless Summer gelato series with fresh new flavours - The Beach Babe (peach and blood orange) and Budge Smuggler (mango, coconut and white chocolate). They're so good, I went for seconds!

And Gelassimo's Brookie was a wow-ser. Smooth gelato sandwiched between two delicious chocolate cookies. It's to-die-for!

There are two Gelatissimo in Darling Harbour and The Rocks (and they are close by). For a chill and quiet atmosphere, I would pick The Rocks anytime. For the harbour view, I would definitely head our for Circular Quay :)
