The Udaya Resorts & Spa

I could not believe how lush and green The Udaya Resorts and Spa is. This place is everything you need in a Balinese resort. Evergreen garden, the many tiered pools, delicious food and simply wonderful staff.

There are two things that I simply love about Udaya - the villa and the Kaveri spa. Our room was simply breathtaking. My husband and I stayed in the villa by the pool. It was very private, and quiet. The only thing we hear are the insects and occasional cute squirrel. Mr. Squirrel was basically our neighbour. The villa was pretty much a honeymoon suite (for those interested in looking for romantic spots in Ubud) and we loved it.

Now, onto the spa. The Celebration of Flower bath is an absolute dream come true. There were at least 4 baskets full of fresh and colourful floral petals used, and every design is different. Even my husband got into the bath, and we stayed for as long as we can.

Surrounded by tropical plants and rice paddy fields, The Udaya is quintessentially a Balinese resort. The kindness of the staff is extraordinary from the moment we arrive, with the delicious welcome drink, till the moment we left, with our little suitcase on our motorbike. The staff was so helpful, they even help us fit our handcarry suitcase into the motorbike. Now, that’s amazing hospitality.
