The Premier Suite of Shangri-La at the Fort

We arrived in Manila in the evening from Coron island, about an hour away from the capitol city of the Philippines. After a week of island hopping and sipping cocktails on the beach, Leon (@hungrysydneysiders) and I kind of miss the city life.

At the airport, we were greeted by a friendly face, a gentleman dressed in a maroon uniform from Shangri-La. We were taken to our pickup.

We checked into our very first Premier Suite at Shangri-La and mind I say, it was love at first sight. There's everything we need. In all honesty, I was expecting just a bedroom as we were flying out in 6 hours back to Sydney.

My favourite room has got to be the bathroom. I could live there all my life, with a gorgeous bathtub I can have hot bubble bathes and pretty tiles to stare at all day.

The Shangri-La at the Fort's team knew I love dessert so much, they took me down to the kitchen where all the magic happens! I was so impressed. The patisserie chefs make absolutely everything, from macarons to cake pops to pavlovas. Everyone in the kitchen was encouraged to play and to dream up all sorts of dessert creation. It was a dream come true!

I'm looking forward to returning to Shangri-La at the Fort. I'm obsessed with their mouth-watering desserts and I cannot wait to try them all next time!

6 hours is a short and sweet kind of stay. Cheers to Shangri-La at the Fort for a memorable experience in Manila.
