Hotel Sofitel Brussels Le Louise

Hotel Sofitel Brussels Le Louise is a gorgeous hotel designed by Antoine Pinto, a famous Belgian well-known for his stylish, imaginative restaurants. It's called "Le Louise" because of the area around Avenue Louise.

The façade says classic, however, the interior is decidedly modern with textures from the space age mixed with polished timber. There is a running theme of colours at Sofitel Brussels Le Louise, deep purples and ruby reds, from the seating area, right down to the lighting in the courtyard. It has a space age feel to it. Although it's the first week of autumn, flowers are still blooming prettily in the courtyard.

The hotel is minutes away from a metro station, and walk a little further, you'll find yourself at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium and Magritte Museum. And any direction you go from Sofitel Brussels, there is always a cake or chocolate shop round the corner. Yum!

We were invited to stay in the Sofitel Brussels's classic room for a couple of nights. The spacious room is beautiful and stylish, and did I mentioned, it comes with the comfiest king bed and softest pillows.

It is always a good time when it's a Sofitel breakfast. I'm a fan of the Continental fare, which includes a wide range of buffet breakfast - cereals, yoghurt freshly baked patisserie (pan au chocolate is the bomb!), fruit juices, bacon and eggs. We were obsessed with the delicious. crispy bacon strips with waffles and sunny side up eggs. We told Quentin Giraud of Sofitel Brussels Le Louise, how amazing the bacon was, and he said the secret is to have it cooked twice. Yum!

We had an amazing stay! The concierge at Sofitel Brussels Le Louise, Marciano, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We found out many local Belgian places to visit, which I'll be writing all about it soon :)
