My Stay At Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan

My Pool Villa and breakfast at Crimson Resort

Our holidays in the Philippines have been loads of fun. There was so many islands to visit (over 7000 of them!) and my partner-in-crime, Leon Korobacz (aka @hungrysydneysiders) came along to experience the Philippines for the very first time. 

We landed in Mactan Airport, just 1/2 an hour drive's away from Cebu, the 2nd largest city after Manila.

Our first few nights were spent at  Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan, a multi award winning resort and beach destination.

And my oh my, we had our own pool in the Crimson's one bedroom villa. It was a dream!

I'm in love with my 4-poster canopy beds. One of the staff made a cute monkey hanging off the bed post, out of two hand towels which I find very clever (which you can spot in the first image above). The open plan living area was a really chill kind of place to be. Loving the minimal aesthetic of the villa. And, hehe, I ended up having my unicorn float sitting in the lounge area. It felt like home away from home.

If you're feeling like doing completely nothing at Crimson Resort, it is really possible to do pretty much, nothing. We lounged by the pool, watched a few DVDs (just dial '0' and the staff will deliver the selected DVDs to you) and called up for room service. 

Dinner at Azure Beach Club, Crimson Resort

We had dinner at Azure Beach Club, which is within Crimson Resort. Our table was filled up with so much food, I felt like we were dining as a family of four! Our favourite has got to be the Seafood Platter with scallops, lobsters and prawns. Grilled to perfection and seasoned with fresh herbs. The Tandoori Chicken was also a winning dish, made in the traditional tandoor oven. The meat was succulent and the fresh naan bread that came with, just yum!

My favourite has got to be breakfast (I have got to do a flatlay, haha) and swimming in the infinity pool with my unicorn float. We spent an afternoon napping on the beach after snorkeling and free diving. Although it's close to the beach, you can still spot fish, starfish and corals. 

It's definitely one of my favourite places to be. Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan, you definitely had us at hello!
