I felt very much at home in Stone House Bali. Tucked in a quiet street near the paddy fields, just a ten minute motorbike ride into Ubud town, this beautiful boutique hotel is one of a kind.

We have been to many boutique hotels, Stone House just feels like home away from home. The owners, Walker and Wendy, along with their pets, Bella and Lulu, just feel like one big family. Erna, the loveliest Balinese I’ve ever met, was so kind and made sure we had everything we need during our stay.

There are only a few boutique rooms available, which

We stayed in a private room called Longhouse. Every morning, I simply love waking up to the view of green paddy fields and to the sound of cackling ducks nearby. This lovely Longhouse was actually partly made of century old timber frames from an old railway bridge in Borneo. It was a beautiful combination of the old and new, don’t you think?

I actually love being surrounded by the Balinese country side. For me, it felt nice to be away from Sydney, once in awhile, it makes me appreciate the peace and quiet (and Mother Nature of course).

Thank you for having us again. Looking forward to seeing more of Stone House Bali next time!
