SWEETTOOTH FOREVER TIPS

OH EM GEE... When I was kid, my everything was ice cream. I would eat a whole tub of ice cream with my dad, every evening after dinner. It was the best thing in the world!

Now, I'm dedicating @sweettoothforever to all dessert lovers. So, if you are currently dieting with a "New year, new me" kind of resolution, please look away! xoM @hellomissmay

Here, I'll be sharing my tips and tricks to taking the best dessert pictures on Instagram. It's really simple!

NATURAL LIGHTING

LOL, I know. I'm always stressing on natural lighting. Seriously, it's like my number one rule. Avoid mid day when the sun is strong and it is casting harsh looking shadows.

HANDS ON

I find that having hands in a photo, holding anything sweet is a much more fun picture than placing my dessert on a table. Think of something fun you can wear on your wrist and girls will love this - it's the moment your nail polish will take centre stage!

Now, you've got the lighting covered. Next tip, is to think of the 'scenery' even when your ice cream is melting away! I'm dead serious. Like, seriously (hehe).

Background is your scene and it usually tells a good story. Little things like where you are, what is the weather like, etc.

It could be a simple backdrop of a brick wall or chalkboard or an ice cream van. Get creative when sourcing out. And yes, a little bit of a contradiction here, most importantly, enjoy your ice cream!
