This is one brunch with an A-MAY-ZING view. 36 floors up, to the very top floor of Shangri-La Sydney. Having brunch at Altitude was really wonderful. It's something you would do on a special occasion, and it's worth it.
The Bountiful Brunch includes Bottomless Mimosas and a lovely selection of coffee and fine tea leaves to choose from.
To start with, I'm loving the mini buffet on the side, with fresh oysters and chilled prawns with dipping sauces, cured meats, fine cheese, palmiers and croissants to choose from.
Then, there are three small plates served, kicking off with Smoked Salmon and cream cheese dip, topped with dill and capers. Next, the Eggs Benedict - delicious poached egg served on brioche toast, with a choice of smoked salmon or prosciutto on the side. The tasty hollandaise sauce is to-die-for! The third small plate is a homemade Berry Muesli, using organic oats and Greek yoghurt, topped with summer berries and honey.
The A La Carte was made to order. We were craving for dessert at the Altitude. We have got to try the pancakes and waffles with a generous serve of maple syrup and vanilla ice cream. The toasted almonds and berries complimented the sweet dish.
Overall, a wonderful place to brunch at Altitude, Shangri-La Sydney. And the food, just sublime. I would recommend it to anyone, visiting Sydney (or even Sydneysiders too hehe). The view itself, is breathtaking. It is one of my absolute favourite places in Sydney.
